Plan Bay Area is the San Francisco Bay Area’s long-range Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy. The Regional Advisory Working Group (RAWG) is comprised of local government staff as well as staff from county Congestion Management Agencies and transit agencies, plus representatives from interested stakeholder groups and any individuals interested in the development of Plan Bay Area. RAWG provides input to regional agency staff on work elements related to the update of Plan Bay Area and other key initiatives that feed into the Plan. Group discussion follows each staff presentation.

1. 9:30 a.m.Welcome, Introductions (ABAG and MTC)
2. 9:35 a.m. Regional Goods Movement Plan Update*
Staff will present an update on the Regional Goods Movement Plan, including an overview of the project, needs and issues identified to date; and information on the goods movement infrastructure, services and trends. The Regional Goods Movement Plan will help build an advocacy platform for goods movement issues and needs to advance as part of the 2017 update of Plan Bay Area and to inform MTC’s federal and state advocacy.. 3. 10:10 a.m. Development of MTC’s Public Participation Plan*
Staff will present information and milestones for updating MTC’s Public Participation Plan in 2015, including anticipated public engagement Strategies for Plan Bay Area. The presentation will be followed by a discussion to hear participants’ ideas and comments on ways to make the process more transparent and encourage broad participation.
